My Top 10 Favorite Japanese Voice Actors(Seiyuu)

Hello, everybody. Welcome to another Top 10 list, where I will be telling you guys about my favorite seiyuu’s, or Japanese voice actors. I will let you guys know that all the actors on this list are male, as, while I’m sure there are talented female seiyuu’s, there are just more male voice actors that are in my favorite shows than females. With that said, let’s begin.

10) Tatsuhisa Suzuki

I love this seiyuu because he is just so cool. He can play all sorts of characters, from the cool, bad boy to the motherly, kind characters. Some of his notables roles include, Ranmaru Kurosaki from Uta No Prince Sama, Makoto Tachibana from Free!, Aleister Chamber from Black Butler, Kazunari Takao from Kuroko no Basket, and Roen from Dance with Devils.

9) Showtaro Morikubo

I love this seiyuu because of his personality. He is always so funny and can be so adorable when he wants to, just like most of his characters. Some of his notables roles are Hikaru Osari from B-Project, Reiji Kotobuki from Uta No Prince Sama, Jasdero from D.Gray-man, Masanoshin Aizawa from Fuyu no Semi, and Mewtwo from Pokemon: The First Movie

8) Hiro Shimono

This seiyuu is just a joy to hear. You can always feel he is putting his all into whatever character he is given, and it really shows. Some of his notables roles are Syo Kurusu from Uta No Prince Sama, Zeno from Yona of the Dawn, Mizuki Shiiba from Junjou Romantica, Nai from Karneval, and Norio Tsuburaya from Love Pistols( or Sex Pistols, depending on what your used to).

7) Sakurai Takahiro

This seiyuu is just full of surprises. He can go from being a dark, brooding, powerful demon into a caring, girly male college student. Some of his notables roles are Misaki Takahashi from Junjou Romantica, Luka Crosszeria from Uraboku, Jenos Hazard from Black Cat, Yuu Kanda from D.Gray-man, and Claude Faustus from Black Butler.

6) Tomoaki Maeno

This seiyuu is the epitome of cool. He can make any character sound sophisticated and powerful. Some of his notable roles include Hak Son from Yona of the Dawn, Decim from Death Parade, Camus from Uta No Prince Sama, Charles Phipps from Black Butler, and Yukina Kou from Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi.

5) Hikaru Midorikawa

Expect the unexpected with this seiyuu. He can play a variety of characters, whether it be a monster of a human to a doting, overprotective father. Some of his notables roles include Dio Brando from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, Chisato Takatsukasa from Kirepapa, Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh, Eiichi Ootori from Uta No Prince Sama, and Ayato Sakamaki from Diabolik Lovers.

4) Kishou Taniyama

You will never be able to tell who this man plays. He is able to play both an adorable, motherly character before having to change to a tough, violent bad boy in the same anime. Some of his notables roles are Natsuki Shinomiya from Uta No Prince Sama, Takahiro Takahashi from Junjo Romantica, Germania from Hetalia, Ikki from Amnesia, and Ryouma Sakamoto from Bakumatsu Rock.

3) Mamoru Miyano

This man has been able to capture the hearts of girls across the world with just his voice. While he does usually play the cool character types, he isn’t afraid to play the overdramatic, silly characters as well. Some of his notables roles include Tamaki Suou from Ouran High School Host Club, Osamu Dazai from Bungo Stray Dogs, Rin Matsuoka from Free!, Tokiya Ichinose from Uta No Prince Sama, and Zero Kiryuu from Vampire Knight.

2) Daisuke Ono

This man has become a legend within the anime community. He has played all sorts of roles since he began his career, so its honestly hard to say what kinds of characters he plays. His most notables roles are Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler, Kira Sumeragi from Uta No Prince Sama, Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara!!, and Juushimatsu Matsuno from Osomatsu-san.

1) Junichi Suwabe

This man has the voice of literal angels. Not only does he have an amazing voice, he is charming and funny. His most notables roles include Ren Jinguji from Uta No Prince Sama, Undertaker from Black Butler, Worick Archangelo from Gangsta, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach, and Archer from Fate/stay night.

Well, I never knew most of my favorite voice actors were also in my favorite anime series, Uta No Prince Sama. That’s pretty convenient. While I do absolutely love these voice actors, maybe you guys have different opinions. Please comment below on who your favorite seiyuu’s are, or, if your favorite was on this list, what you like about him. Thanks again, and I hope to see you guys soon!
